Pipes & Drums: 1st Battalion Scots Guards, New York City "Remembrance" Tour September 9-12, 2002
The Band's first visit to New York City was conceived of and requested by The American Scottish Foundation as a gesture of unity, solace and hope to the people of New York City. The visit was incorporated within "UKwithNY", a two-week, citywide event, that took place in New York City last year between, October 14th - October 28th.
The opportunity arose to invite The Pipes & Drums 1st Battalion Scots Guards to return to New York City for a commemorative visit to reinforce last year's message of unity and to participate in events memorializing September 11.
