The Oor Wullie Bucket Trail of Dundee – with auction on September 13th in support of the Archie Foundation.

Oor Wullie 1This Summer Dundee is a center for Art as Oor Wullies takes over the city.  From now till September one of Scotland’s national treasures, Oor Wullie, has multiplied x 55 – and now 55 5ft Oor Wullies are dotted throughout Dundee.

AND an additional 10 Oor Wullies are touring Scotland visiting Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth, & Inverness, returning to Dundee in time to join the rest of the Bucket Trail at the grand auction of all the sculptures on September 13th.

So NOW is the time to take the Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail – and find the Oor Wullie which are dotted throughout Dundee – all this in support of The Archie Foundation Tayside – and held in collaboration with DC Thomson and Wild in Art.

Oor Wullies are each decorated by artists & designers, all are different.

Trail maps and a digital app will be made available to enable all to go out and find all 50 sculptures and to strike them off their ‘bucket’ list.

THEN on September 13th the statues will all be auctioned off in support of a new twin pediatric surgical suite for the Archie FoundationTayside Children’s Hospital.

The American-Scottish Foundation® is proud to help support the work of the Archie Foundation and is looking forward to seeing all the Oor Wullies in the weeks ahead!

This is Oor Wullie’s 80th Anniversary and the celebration is as part of The Scottish Government Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design. Find out more at www.oorwulliebuckettrail.com and by going to VisitScotlands website.
