Glasgow Duo ‘Raintown’ Wins Big at British Country Music Awards

Musicians Paul Bain and Claire McArthur Bain of the hit Glasgow duo ‘Raintown’ are quickly gaining the reputation as one of the hottest country acts in Europe. At the 2014 British Country Music Awards, they brought home two major awards — Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

In 2011, the duo made history as the first ever Scottish act invited to perform at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, and were invited back the following year to represent the UK a second time.

When asked what they want people to hear when they listen to their music, the pair replied: ”Passion, honesty and hope; It’s Contemporary Country Music, with a Scottish twist.”

Congratulations, Raintown!
