Sounds From Scotland

The American Scottish Foundation is proud to announce a series of compilation albums slated for the upcoming 12 months featuring up and coming Scottish musicians.

The project has grown out of our monthly series of Facebook live concerts – SOUNDS FROM SCOTLAND.

The first compilation is slated for release November 30th – St Andrew’s Day, and features 10 artists that ASF puts the spotlight on.

Sounds from Scotland Program Coordinator, Jamie McGeechan explains: “Scotland has a wealth of music talent and I’m thrilled that we can celebrate that with Sounds From Scotland. These artists all deserve international recognition and I have no doubt they are the future of Scottish music.”

Camilla Hellman, American Scottish Foundation President continued, “I am excited to see us launch this next phase of the ASF Sounds From Scotland project which will help to capture a moment in time and act as what we hope is a great marketing tool for this great pool of Scottish talent – as well as helping the artists financially”.

Featured on Sounds From Scotland Volume 1 are:

Chris Andreucci, Alan Frew, Colin Hunter, Lisa Kowalski, Shaz Martin, Laura McGhee, Noisemaker, Hannah Read, Reely Jiggered and John Rush.

To celebrate the launch of Sounds From Scotland volume 1 the American Scottish Foundation will host a special St. Andrew’s Day concert on Sunday November 29th 3PM – 5PM EST, featuring some of the artists featured on Sounds From Scotland.
