Watch our #ScotsInUs Podcast Aye Write Festival special episode as we are joined In Conversation with Scottish authors Kirstin Innes and Robbie Morrison who talk about their novels, influences and inspirations and about participating in this year’s Aye Write festival currently underway in Glasgow. We hear from Aye Write Festival Programmer Bob McDevitt about the Aye Write program and he picks a few highlights for us too.
 
Kirstin Innes, author of Fishnet and Scabby Queen is one of Scotland’s brightest literary talents, bursting onto the scene with her debut novel Fishnet in 2015 and winning The Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize for her follow up novel, Scabby Queen.
 
Robbie Morrison is a debut novelist with Edge Of The Grave, set in 1930’s Glasgow the story follows Detective Inspector Jimmy Dreghorn on the hunt for a killer loose in post-war Glasgow with a stunning and gritty depiction of Scotland’s industrial city.
 
The Aye Write festival is presented by Glasgow Life and runs May 14th – 23rd. Taking place as a fully online event this year Aye Write is Scotland’s second largest book festival and is celebrated as a festival of ideas with over 100 authors taking part in Aye Write this year.
