Edinburgh’s famous and beloved landmark building, the former Royal High School, is now set to become a National Centre for Music, thanks to a plan put in motion by Edinburgh arts philanthropist Carol Grigor.
The site at the 192-year-old building will be home to a concert hall and the new home for St Mary’s Music School. The alternative plan for the building was to turn it into a luxury hotel; arts advocates in Edinburgh are celebrating this victory. We look forward to seeing what they do with the gorgeous landmark, and hopefully attending concerts there on our visits to Edinburgh in the future!
