Both Friday and Saturday, pre-parade, the choir will perform at Bryant Park&#8217;s Fountain Terrace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about the Scottish Police &amp; Community Choir here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formerly starting out as a workplace choir, with 15 members, Tayside Police Choir was founded in 2010 and became a great source of friendship, support and light relief from the rigours of police work, difficult shifts and stressful incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strathclyde Police Choir was founded in 2012 and joined forces (literally) to become the Scottish Police &amp; Community Choir in 2013.\u00a0It became clear that retired officers and staff and their significant others and friends (as well as serving staff)  saw the fantastic fun and benefits of the choir and have now evolved into the current form where members of the communities with no police connection can join  \u2013 they are stronger together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The choir performs at awards ceremonies, charity functions, memorial events, weddings and celebrations of all kinds, both local and national.\u00a0They have performed in New York, flash mobbed on the Red Steps at Times Square, toured with Russell \u2018The Voice\u2019 Watson, sung with Dougie MacLean, and performed on stage at The Royal Albert Hall In London, The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and The Usher Hall and Festival Theatre in Edinburgh.\u00a0They have performed for Royalty, most notably King Charles III, Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward and Sophie. In the past they have supported Care of Police Survivors, The Scottish Police Memorial Trust, The Police Roll of Honour Trust, The Brain Tumour Charity, The Beatson Cancer Charity, CHAS at Rachel House, Kinross, Scotland\u2019s Charity Air Ambulance, Playlist For Life, RNLI, SAMH, Guide Dogs for The Blind and British Heart Foundation to name only a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us at Bryant Park to witness the beautiful performance of the choir on April 14th and 15th.
