This gripping silent film directed by Anthony Asquith will have accompaniment from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/symphonyorchestra\">BBC Symphony Orchestra<\/a>.\u00a0Intro with <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bfi.org.uk\/people\/bryony-dixon\">Bryony Dixon<\/a>, Curator for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bfi.org.uk\/people\/bryony-dixon\">British Film Institute<\/a> (BFI).<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Described by The Guardian as a <em>&#8220;time capsule depiction of London&#8217;s tube network, as well as a brilliant expressionist-influenced thriller.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Fans of HippFest say that the Festival is more than a trip to the cinema, it is an experience \u2013 distinctive, eye-opening and enjoyable.\u00a0 So whilst we will miss all being together under the star-studded ceiling of the Hippodrome we have tried to create a comparable cocktail of screenings with music, workshops, events and activities to sweep you up in the\u00a0marvelous\u00a0magic of early cinema.\u00a0 If dressing up is your thing, go for it!
