The Scots Who Founded the United States

To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, we’re thrilled to bring you the US premiere of Atlantic: A Scottish Story – an unforgettable live performance of the award-winning podcast series and the hit Edinburgh Fringe production.

Thirteen signers of the Declaration of Independence were Scots or of Scottish Descent.

We will explore the influences of Scots and Scottish Events which since the eleventh century inspired our Founding Fathers to create a democratic form of government.

Scotland’s history has been a struggle for independence for centuries. These events and the Scottish Enlightenment led to an understanding of what “Government by the People” should be. We will meet these Scots and witness their contributions to the founding of our country.
