Iain Ritchie, Chair of the Scottish North American Business Council and ProceMX and Peter Wilson, President of Scottish Heritage USA and Great Scot International is our 2026 Wallace Award Winner. Procemx provides geo-spatial work, asset and operations management solutions to the energy, utilities, environmental and infrastructure sectors using their proprietary MX toolset.
Based in Glasgow, the company is focused on the UK and US markets.
With a background in Psychology and Artificial Intelligence in academia and industry Iain’s experience combines long term direct relationships with large customers such as major US utilities through to various types of partnership deliveries with major suppliers to Federal Government agencies.
As one of the many frequent travellers he takes every opportunity to emphasise the importance of good quality transatlantic flight connections from Scotland.
Peter Wilson is a native Scot born and raised in Bearsden, approximately ten miles from Glasgow city centre and has been living in the USA for several decades. He is a graduate of St Andrews University, Scotland and studied at Clemson University in the late 70’s where he met his wife, Suzanne, at a British styled pub in nearby Pendleton.
After 14 years in Scotland where he worked in an engineering business, they returned to Charlotte NC. He started an online business in 1997 selling imported Scottish victuals and also got into tartan rag trade. Peter has served as board member of Scottish Heritage USA since 2006 and is the current President and Interim Treasurer.
