On Friday November 9th The American-Scottish FoundationŽ held the ASF 2018 Wallace AwardŽ Dinner for Heritage, Arts & Culture, co-chaired by Elizabeth De Forest Scott and Roderick Gow at the University Club, New York City.



The Wallace Award was presented to
Sir Moir Lockhead
National Trust for Scotland, Chairman

Andy Scott, BA
internationally acclaimed sculptor for Arts, Heritage and Culture.





The evening was a celebration of Scotland beginning with a whisky tasting from Glendronach Single Malt Scotch Distillery 

Scotland's National Chef and 2017 Winner of Top Chef the Professionals, Gary Maclean, brought  great "touches" to spark the menu.

The award winning team of Claire McKenzie & Scott Gilmour of Noisemaker offered musical nterludes with Mike Ogotree and Shortbread.

Through the  generosity of donations guests enjoyed Silent and Live auctions which offered Golf, fishing, or wine country experiences, throws, jewelleryand whisky - a wide array of items.  The auctions brought opportunity to help support the ongoing work of the ASF and for an ASF Grant to the new Baird Family Hospital in Aberdeen and its Neonatal unit being overseen by the ARCHIE Foundation alongside the University of Aberdeen.

The Wallace AwardŽ recognizes the contribution of Scots, those of Scottish descent and Americans and Canadians, for outstanding achievement or significant contribution in their field of endeavor and for their contribution to these countries.
