Noisemaker

An excluse preview of the latest production by the award winning Scottish team - Noisemaker.

Noisemaker is the award-winning writing partnership of writer/actor, Scott Gilmour, and composer/musical director, Claire McKenzie.


Noisemaker Special Guests:

Ainsley Hamill - One of the UK's leading and most diverse singers, Ainsley has a long list of nods including the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Finalist and Gaelic Singer of the Year Finalist at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.

She was recently named in The List’s Hot 100 Scottish artists.


Jai McDowall - Jai won the fifth season of Britain’s Got Talent, capturing the hearts of a nation with his powerhouse vocals, natural charm, and versatile song interpretations touring extensively throughout the UK, Europe and China.

Most recently Jai joined world renowned singer, Susan Boyle on her 2020 tour playing arenas around the UK. Throughout 2022 Jai starred alongside G4 frontman Jonathan Ansell in a UK wide tour of Les Musicals. Jai is currently performing with X factor group G4 on their 20th anniversary tour


Calum Pasqua

Musical Selections That Inspired Robert Burns
from the national Library of Scotland

Listen to rarely heard Scots and Gaelic music from the past. Selections are taken from the National Library of Scotland's Special Collections: Glen Collection and the Inglis Collection represent mainly 18th and 19th century Scottish music, including Scottish songs.

These selections will be interpreted and performed by Brooklyn native, Calum Pasqua, fiddler and highland bagpiper, specializes in Scottish Fiddle styles of both the northeast and west highlands of Scotland. Calum was the first American to be both, invited to, and win, the Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship, held at Blair castle in Blair Atholl Scotland. He also holds titles as National Scottish Fiddle champ and was declared Fiddler To the Marquis of Huntly in 2008.


The Laurettes

Up and coming Scottish band made up of all female musicians and have been described as a ‘Powerful Indie Folk Fusion band with a Celtic Rock twist.’

The Laurettes are an energetic all female band making big noise around Scotland, the UK and very soon to be further afield. The Laurettes have frequented the Festivals such as Tiree Music Festival, Islay Whisky Festival, Mull Music Festival and Rally, Doune The Rabbit Hole, Eden, Lindisfarne, Bute Fest, The Edinburgh Fringe and many more.


Craig Weir

Scottish Baggpiper

Craig Weir: Craig is renowned as one of the country’s top pipers. He has played at prestigious high profile events all around the world. Craig also fronts Craig Weir & The Cabalistic Cavalry and enjoys collaborating with various projects.


Whisky and Gin Tasting

Presented by Robin Robinson

Robin Robinson, whisky expert and author of The Complete Whisky Course, will oversee a tasting of Scottish whiskys and gins. Learn the subtleties of and unique flavors from different regions of Scotland.
