Rennie Mackintosh is one of Scotland’s greatest cultural figures, celebrated internationally and influencing generations of artists, architects, and designers.
He collaborated closely with his wife Margaret Macdonald on works that are both brilliant and breathtaking. The National Trust for Scotland is working to transform the understanding of Mackintosh and Macdonald through a groundbreaking program of public engagement and conservation centered on two of their most important cultural legacies: Hill House and Mack at the Willow.
Join Chief Executive Philip Long, formerly founding director of the V&A Dundee, as he shares the Trust's plans to inspire creativity for new audiences and local communities through cutting-edge conservation, thoughtful interpretation, and digital outreach that will bring Mackintosh and Macdonald to life for a new generation in Glasgow and far beyond.
