GLASGOW

It’s not about the end of life
— it’s about living every day with purpose and dignity.
The American-Scottish Foundation is proud work with The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice to designate Glasgow Hospice as a directed giving project of the Foundation. The American-Scottish Foundation is a non profit 501c3 organization and all donations made through the Foundation are tax deductible in the United States to the extent of the law.
Established in 1983, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice has been providing specialist care for generations in Glasgow. The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice believes in caring for the person, not just their condition, by providing high-quality, person-centered care for young adults aged 16 to 40 who are living with life-limiting conditions.
A New Location and Expanded Care
While originally located on the iconic banks of the River Clyde, the hospice successfully raised £21 million to build a state-of-the-art hospice in the heart of Glasgow’s leafy Bellahouston Park. From this incredible building we provide care that surrounds every patient and family with comfort, compassion, and kindness.
We have a range of services which help us care for 1,200 new patients and their families every year:
- Specialist palliative care: medical, emotional, and psychological support for individuals and families
- Family & Bereavement Services: helping loved ones navigate grief both pre and post bereavement
- Creative Therapies: art, music, and complementary therapies that promote wellbeing and self-expression
- Community Care: extending hospice care beyond our walls — into homes and local communities

Help Us Make A Difference
Currently, the service supports around 55 young adults, offering tailored support that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life. We invite American Scottish Community to join with us in making every moment matter for those with life-limiting conditions. You can truly make a difference and help us add life to days.
